What is poetry without emotions? Can a computer write poems?
Nine works from the history of computer poetry have been reinterpreted, translated into code, and passed on to a computer. These form the basis for nine poems generated by the computer using three random words as the initial input. By entering new words continuously, this process can be repeated infinitely. This results in ever-new poems, bridging the gap between poetry and code, language and calculation, human and computer.
An appendix provides insight into the definition, inspiration, information, and construction of the poems. An installation for generating one’s own poetry volumes was exhibited at the HfG Rundgang 2021. The generated poems were later made into a whole new book-installation. See → here.
