A small series of three posters, which I designed for Klingspor Museum Offenbach. As a museum for modern and contemporary book and type art, Klingspor Museum hosts several type-related events throughout the year. I created three posters for different occasions, only using typography and exploring different ways to use letters as images, creating a unique visual language for each poster.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Picasso’s death, the Klingspor Museum in Offenbach organized a theme day. I was invited to design the event poster. However, I could and did not want to leave the event uncommented due to Picasso’s misogynous history. Therefore, in cooperation with the museum, I developed two posters that critically deal with the topic. One poster tells the names and stories of all the women who shaped Picasso’s life and work, while the second poster asks whether we can, should, or want to separate the art from the person. The posters were exhibited in the museum and added a feminist perspective to the debate on this day.
