On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Picasso’s death, the Klingspor Museum in Offenbach organized a theme day. I was invited to design the event poster.
However, I could and did not want to leave the event uncommented due to Picasso’s misogynous history. Therefore, in cooperation with the museum, I developed two posters that critically deal with the topic. One poster tells the names and stories of all the women who shaped Picasso’s life and work, while the second poster asks whether we can, should, or want to separate the art from the person. The posters were exhibited in the museum and added a feminist perspective to the debate on this day.
